As we all prepare today for Superbowl and our parties, I wanted to take a minute to thank and say a prayer for all of our soldiers. Without them we would not have the freedom to enjoy a day like today. Everyday they choose to put themselves in harm's way to make life better for all of us and I do no think that they get the praise they so aptly deserve. It takes a special kind of person to lace up those boots and put on that uniform each and every day. They do not get sick days. Their pay is a ridiculous amount. They pay for their own equipment. They stand ready at a moments notice to rush in to places most of us cannot even imagine in our nightmares.
I am so proud of each and everyone of our soldiers, from every branch of service. Those that currently serve, have served in the past, those who have gave their lives, those who have came home injured and forgotten. I can't even fathom the horrors and triumphs these men and women have seen. I lay in my warm bed each night knowing my children are safe and I still have my freedom only because of these brave souls. There are no mere words I could ever utter that would be enough to thank these soldiers. Every night as I lay my head down to sleep, you are in my prayers! Always!
I have many family members who have made the sacrifice and some did not come home.
